Remediate Slope & Retaining Wall Design | Build
Management | Construction and QAR Services << Return to Projects
The purpose of this Design | Build was to remediate the western slope of the Yuma Annex property adjacent to Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property. The final wall design was a series of tiered retaining walls. The finished wall is approximately 18 to 20 feet tall and approximately 350 feet in length. The retaining wall consisted of colored retaining wall stones that match the local desert environment. Construction of this retaining wall consisted of removing and remediating the existing slope debris such as tires, metal, concrete, wood, etc. Drainage tiles and a gallery were installed behind the retaining stones. CORE Engineering provided civil engineering design services and IGES Engineering supplied structural engineering services to construct the Redi-Rock wall supplied by Jensen Precast.
